Changes

The idea was to meet other-faith neighbours. It was open to all faiths or none, and those interested to know more about other faiths, or inter faith work, or our multi faith society, or visit interesting Peckham buildings or any combination of those. It was a gentle walk, for at times between 50 and 70 people, and an enjoyable and interesting way for us all to learn more about each other as neighbours. It was organised by Rev Paul Collier of [http://www.coplestoncentre.org.uk/ Copleston Centre Church,]Jamille Mohammed secretary of the [http://mosques.muslimsinbritain.org/show-mosque.php?id=1319 Peckham Islamic Centre,]and Sgt Emma Dickinson of the police Lane Safer Neighbourhood Team, with the support of Eileen Conn vice-chair of the [http://www.smff.org.uk Southwark Multi Faith Forum (SMFF),] and coordinator of Peckham Vision, and [http://www.southlondoninterfaith.org.uk/events/ the South London Inter Faith Group (SLIFG).] The unanimous conclusion was that this was an excellent way to develop good connections between people of different faiths and cultures in Peckham. There was significant interest in finding out more and likely support for educational activities, and involving more local venues.
