===SMFF Inter-faith walk Saturday 18th September 2021===
The walk will be from 1.30pm to 7pm. This year the Southwark Multi Faith Forum (SMFF) walk is through the north of the borough starting at Southwark Cathedral, calling at 3 other venues - Christian, Muslim, and Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints - from London Bridge through the Elephant & Castle to Walworth, ending with a vegetarian BBQ. There will be a couple of short talks at each venue. In addition to the speakers from the venues there will also be speakers from the Jewish and Bahá'i faiths. You can join and leave the walk at any time. Tickets and the BBQ are free. But you must register for Covid safety reasons. Please register here: https://bit.ly/3j7cohF . The Southwark Inter-Faith walk will take place on Sunday 9th September. It starts at 12pm midday at the Old Mill Building 72 Copeland Park, SE15, the home of Communities Outreach Ministries, a Pentecostal church. There will be a talk about the church and its community, and also their restoration of the Victorian factory building. This is [[Blackpool_Road|threatened by redevelopment]] and Peckham Vision and Community Outreach Ministries are working together to present the case for its preservation as an important historical and social asset. The walk will leave the building at 1pm and walk to Rye Lane Chapel through the Copeland Park which is home to several churches and a mosque as well as hundreds of small businesses. The walk also visits a Buddhist Centre and a mosque and at each stop hear hears talks about different faiths and also the story of each of the historic buildings.
