The BRG is developing a Neighbourhood Profile through a participative process to enable local residents to create and articulate their own ideas about the neighbourhood, and make them accessible to others including the Council and developers. The 'neighbourhood profile' also fits well with the development of the Peckham & Nunhead Area Action Plan (PNAAP). In the first place we would like to capture what we like about the area and what we would like to see improved, especially its physical aspects. We could well move on to consider other issues facing the neighbourhood.

We have publicised this in the neighbourhood and are encouraging local residents to contribute:

  • by taking photos or very short videos of any parts of the neighbourhood that you especially like, and post them on our Flikr group or email them to us with a location caption and some text on why you like them or don't like them and how they could be improved.
  • if you can't send photos, by sending us views anyway with the same kinds of comments.
  • by telling us if you have any other ideas for finding out what you and your neighbours think and feel about your neighbourhood, including what geographical area it covers for you and what you call it if it has a name.

How to post your photos/videos

To add your photo or video with your comment, you will need to upload it to Flickr and add it to the Bellenden Group. You will need to create a free account and login. Then join our group to start adding photos to it by clicking on Add your photo on the groups page. Please tag you photo/video with the road it was taken on.

If you are unsure about adding to Flickr you can email us the photo to BRG@bellenden.net.
