Extract from Minutes of meeting, end of Item 7 Cross River Tram

Eileen Conn spoke on behalf of Peckham Vision, raising concerns about the possible site of the tram depot and its impact on the existing commercial business and residential community that use the space. From this Members agreed:

• That site 63P is of strategic importance for the future of Peckham Town Centre
• To investigate with community groups, the proposal for a joint Community Council working group and to report to the next Community Council with recommendation for action.
• To ask the Council’s Executive to use the Council’s position on the Cross River Partnership to get the comprehensive depot review (including traffic impact assessment on Peckham and full information on other sites) started as soon as possible
